  1. Any archery shop has a scale that you can have them check it for you, and they have never charged me yet.

  2. you can estimate it on your size sorta like im 5'6 130 pounds and i can draw 50lb no prob but i struggle to get 70lb back so a big man usually can pull 70 with minor difficulty

  3. If it's not written on the bow, usually on the bottom limbs facing the archer or on a label on the limbs just inside the limb pocket, then you're stuck with having it weighed on a scale.  Some people use fish scale, hang it on something.  Take an arrow, put it on the bow as if you're trying to shoot it, draw it back to full anchor and have a friend mark the arrow with a sharpie or something.  Mark it where the shaft meets the back of the bow, the back of the bow is the side of the bow that is facing the target.  Now hook the string of the bow with the arrow on it on the fish scale.  With both hands on the riser, push down on it until the back of the bow meets the mark on the arrow.  Look at the scale and that is the actual weight of the bow.

Now if it's a compound then you don't need the arrow, all you gotta do is put the bow on the scale and push down on it until the scale hits a peak and comes down.  That peak weight is the weight of your bow.

  4. Usually it's on a sticker on the bow itself.  That or just call him back.
