I just bought a Canon DVD camcorder but the disc will not playback on my computer although I install the software that came with it. My comouter is Windows XP. What do you think is wrong?

formatting maybe but if you did format its more likely you didnt finalize which is pretty hard to do once you take the disc out of the camera next time do this 1.format disc 2. record 3. when your done finalize (this erases unused disc and you have to do this even if your disc is full)4. take your disc out and watch it. that should solve the problem

Have you formatted/finalized the disk on the camera??

Could be AVCHD format on your DVD discs - try to install K-Lite Codec Pack to play your files - need powerful processor on your PC to play it
