  1.   Most answers are good but a couple extra thoughts.. Before taking up the laminate, if the subfloor is excessable there are cures you can do to take out somt squeaks.. Most big box stores will carry these solutions..The laminate may be cut to tight to the wall or cabinet and rubbing against it.A 1/4 inch space is required for expansion and contratction..I ve also found some subfloor squeaks are impossible to remove although you can get rid of a lot by rescrewing or shimming from below there is no 1 answer to flooring noise  GL

  2. It's probably from a loose subfloor. If the plywood has too much give underneath, it will cause the laminate to rub against each other, causing that squeaking.

The only way to actually solve the problem would be to remove it all, tighten the subfloor, and put down new flooring.

  3. it is the subfloor (plywood), underneath the lam. the only thing u can do is start to undo the floor starting from the right end and simply s******g down the sub floor with screws not nails, nails pop like what you are dealing with now. s***w every 8 inches or so and put down foam sheeting system and re-apply the lam. floor

    good luck

  4. The squeak is probably either coming from the sub floor, debre under the laminate flooring, improper installation, or a combination of these.  You will probably have to take it up to see.

  5. How come you didn't notice this when you looked at the condo ? That was the time to do something.  Laminate floors as a rule are glued down therefore you will have to see if you can get it up without destroying anything. You didn't mention what kind flooring , blocks or strips

  6. not leveled correctly
