No. Don't use an aquarium, there is not enough ventilation. Also, guinea pigs need a lot of space. For 1 (and you should really have at least 2, they are much happier in pairs), you need at least 7.5 sq. feet of space

Well, yes, but it needs to be at least 3 feet by 3 feet and it'll be hard to clean the cage if it's that big, because glass is heavy. Ventilation is also a problem. Cages are much better, and you can give them treats through the bars instead of freaking them out by swooping your hand down from the lid to pass him a treat.
