  1. have you looked over http://www.guinealynx.info?

  2. Give him a variety of foods, not only his pellets but some Timothy hay and some greens, lettuce, carrots, apples, keep the old fruit and greens picked up if piggie doesn't eat it all ants will come if the sweet stuff stays in one place, I put vaseline at the bottom of my cage a thin line that stays put so ants cant cross it if ants ever become a problem, read my posts bout what I found was the BEST way to keep the piggie cage clean and fresh smelling for a week! GOOD LUCK PS make sure you do use real guinea pig pellets, rabbit pellets doesn't have vitamin C that the piggies need in their diet to keep them healthy!!

  3. I'm sure he eats when you're not around. If you 'just' bought him, give him half a chance- guinea pigs shouldn't be given pellet food for the first twenty four hours, and hay should be their main diet anyway.

No, no eating plan is needed. Feed him once a day. Twice if you really have to. There should be instructions on how much to feed on the back of the packet of food.
