Question

what is the best way to learn to play it?

i am look for a book also so if you know any good books that teaches you tabs and stuff please giv me a link or w/e

and any tips please.

the best way to learn is to find a teacher, books dont help that much!!!! there is also videos on youtube that can help!!!!

If you have a good ear, you could learn from cd, or from cassette. Only very good ears can learn this way, but some great rockers started this way.

Play with others. You will learn more from others than from any book. DON'T LET YOURSELF BECOME DISINTERESTED

First look up beginner video lessons on youtube for basic chords and some picking, stuff like that.

when you start to become a bit more better search a good song that you would like to learn (preferably on youtube) and keep trying to play along with it until you get really good. Dont give up guitar is really fun and i have been playing it for quite long.

Get a copy of Hal Leonard's Beginner Guitar Method #1. Inside, are instructions in how to tune and care for the instrument, basic chords, theory, and exercises in music notation that will prepare you for reading music.

Consider also at getting a chord book having at least 1,500 to 2,500 chords.

Music notation, not tablature, is the best approach to building expertise on the guitar. There isn't any stuff to consider either.

i got a few tab books from a music store and learned from the legend in the intro to the books and figured out how to play at the right speed. learn stuff that you have heard several times so you know how it is 'supposed" to sound. good luck
