I just bought a new laptop with vista and it seems when there are two or more open windows and u try to x out?

of one or close one it shuts down the whole screen and have to restart. is there an option to enable just shuttin down one screen

That doesnt sound normal - I have laptop running vista and it doesnt crash after closing a window.  

What kind of laptop do you own - you may have a faulty motherboard and if its brand new you can send it back for a replacement.

i dont think so.. just open it in a new tab which is to the right of your exisiting one by the add to favorites star
