First we tried a DVD and that started speeding up at random times and the sound would cut out. It would be all glitchy and laggy. Then we put in a blu ray disk and it did the same thing, whats wrong with the blu ray player?

  1. try another another disk or trade the player in

  2. Is your HDTV 1080p?  If not, ready the Blu-Ray manual for optional settings for a 1080i/720p HDTV.

  3. I would try taking it back to the store and getting a new one. That happened to me and i just got a bad system.

  4. this could happen if you have it hooked up through your video out vs your progressive out put on your blu ray player.

  5. You could try downloading the latest firmware for your player. When i bought my samsung i downloaded the firmware to my computer and burned it onto cd. Then put it in my player, took about 30 minutes to update. Companies like sony and samsung update firmware every couple of months. hope this helps.
