call by simply sliding it up but I don't know how to get it to hang up a phone call when I slide it down. Is that possible? Secondly, is it possible to download a sound for when I get a text, for example instead of it being a normal beep like the phone has it set to can I download something and set it to go off when I get a text?

You can only make your phone answer the incoming call by sliding the numeric keypad up. It will not end the call when you slide the keypad down. You will have to end the call by pushing the regular end call, and power on/off button.

As for your text message noise, it will not allow you to download any other noises other than the ones that come on the phone. To change the text message ring go to Start, Settings, Sounds, now go down 4 boxes to New Text Message. Here you can play the numerous ringtones for when you receive a text message.
