I just bought a projector and there is a white band across the screen that I can't rid of, what is it?

It's the new Al-100. Across the left side of the projection there is a white band I can see the picture on either side of it but can't get rid of the band. What is it? What can I do?

  1. Sounds like a problem with the LCD panels, but why worry about precisely what it is ... it shouldn't be there, and if you just bought the projector return it and get a replacement.

    I know it's a hassle, but trying to fix it could result in voiding the warranty ... take it back.
