How can I fix it so it will stop being so sensitive. The "instructions" were just 1 small piece of paper. It's went off several times & when I've looked, I've only seen the wind blowing hard, no one in my driveway. Any tips? Thanks!

  1. It could be some small creature setting it off as well.

  2. In some applications the motion detector may be too sensitive, resulting in false alerts. To remedy this situation, put masking tape or labels on each side of the sensor window. Start on the sides and add an equal length of masking tape or labels to each side. Test the detector and add more covering if needed. Keep the band as narrow as 1/8" wide or wider depending on individual situation. Some trial and error may be required to find the optimal width.

  3. face it away from the wind. (i know. . . stupid answer, just trying to help) or call the customer support.

  4. Could be small animals or leaves blowing that set it off. Try mounting the sensors higher than a cat but low enough to catch a small car. I don't know what else to suggest.

  5. I need more info to be thorough , but they usually have sensitivity controls.

Are there any dials or switches that can be tweaked ?

    My motion sensitive lights do.

If it is heat sensitive the wind may be cooling the drive way causing a heat loss signature.

I'll check back to see if you have updated with a model # or something.

  6. i had one of those at my old house. wind/rain and small animals-squirrel, cats and yes even birds set the thing off. i'm not sure if there is anything that you can do for it but watch it. most times it was just something like that.
