I just bought a sharp LC-60D46U Liqiid crystal tv and it wont come on is there a reset button.?

I just bought a sharp LC-60D46U Liqiid crystal tv and it wont come on is there a reset button. Now we hooked it up on to all the boxes and cable and just hasnt got any thing but a simple menu. Can anyone help...UGGGGGH

If your getting a simple menu, then I assume that the power to the TV is working fine, thus the TV is working fine. I would suggest you press the "input" button of the remote control and scroll through the various inputs to find the one that your cable/cable box is hooked to.  Also make sure the TV is set to channel 3, you should then be receiving a picture.

Assuming you connected your cable feed directly to the TV, To get a TV signal, you need to do a channel scan first.

It is rare that a TV would be dead on arrival, but it is possible.

I would first check if you have a ready lite usually on the front of the tv. If you don't you might have a bad power supply unit. Call the manufacture and check for the warranty on your tv. They might even send you a new power unit just to make you happy. Do not feel intemiated by a new product coming out of the box bad! Good luck.
