  1. Static!?

Not usual with satellite. Do you live in one of the extreme corners of the country? If so, I guess static is a possibility, but I suspect something's wrong with your antenna. It's either not hooked up right or is defective.

The only other reason I can think of is of your are using an FM transceiver to get the signal from the radio to your car stereo system. If you are, recheck the instructions and make sure you are on one of the recommended channels and no local station shares that frequency (or 2 points up or down the dial).

Call 1-888-GET-SIRIUS for tech support. They'll be able to figure it out for you. You should not have any static on any satellite radio, expecially in your car which is free of walls, interference, etc.

  2. íf you have a data jack on your stereo, get a data cord and use that. if you have a XACT receiver, the FM transmitter is garbage. look at tss-radio.com to see if you can find some accessories to go along with your system.

  3. based on the wording in your question, you have a mini fm transmitter sending the sat signal to your car radio.  you mean to say that you can't find a clear frequency on which to send the signal...  use this website and click on the item that says "find an unused fm frequency in your area."  if you live in a city or a place with buildings, you will have difficulty.

my advice is twofold.  1. get an fm xmitter that has a clear freq readout and has good power.  most of these devices have a way to boost the power.  2. go to a good car audio place and tell them you want the sat radio to come direct to your car audio - it is a huge difference in audio quality and worht every penny,.

  4. I like Buzzsaw and Octane. I know Octane is 20.
