I just bought a small pool and i was wondering how to keep my pH. level good without buying all the chemicals?

You will need two chemicals to adjust pH. Muriatic acid (hardware store) and 20 mule team borax (laundry detergent aisle at the grocery store). 1/2 a cup of acid will bring 1000 gallons down .45. 1/4 lb. of borax will raise 1000 gallons .44
