  1. Why did you get him so early before he is wean? I just do not understand why you would not research the breed and just buy it on a whim because it is cute especially one that is known to be a larger dog...

He does not need goats milk he needs his mom's milk until he is at least 8 weeks

  2. Get him back to his mom if you can. Contact the breeder and ask if the pup can stay with the mom for a few more weeks, until 10 weeks if possible.

Report the breeder to the akc immediately, even if she does take the puppy back for a few weeks.

Feed raw/unpasturized goat milk if you can find it. Feed the goat milk until 8 weeks of age, then start weaning the puppy onto raw meaty bones. Continue weaning until 10 to 11 weeks, then start feeding the pup raw meaty bones exclusively.

    If your dog survives:

Your dog is a giant breed dog. Do not feed puppy food or large breed dog food. Feed regular adult food that is 23% protein or less until 18 to 24 months of age(does not apply to a raw diet).

Skip the puppy milk if you can find the raw/unpasturized goat milk, it contains cows milk second and it is cooked to high temperatures then enriched with unnatural chemical based vitamins/minerals.

It is better to feed natural milk even if it is from another species.

Vets are not educated in nutrition. It is a biased education taught by representatives from the most popular pet food companies i.e. Science diet, iams, and purina.

  3. You should take the dog back the breeder tomorrow and tell them to hold it until it is at least 8 weeks old.

Just because a breeder registers with AKC doesn't mean they're worth a c**p (which this one obviously isn't!)

All puppies are cute, but you don't just buy things because they're cute.  You have 10 yrs to look after this dog, and if you seperate it from the mom and littermates too early, there will be some serious developmental problems.

  4. He is much too young to be away from his mother and littermates.  Take him to the emergency vet, he may be dying.

Frankly, I'm horrified.  My Bernese pups turned 4 weeks old yesterday.... they won't be ready to go to their new homes for at least another 5 weeks.

  5. What kind of breeder sells a dog that young?  No dog should be taken away from their mother until they are at least 8 weeks old!  This breeder is not a good pet person at all.  You need to take your puppy to a vet immediately...they may want to put them on a milk similar to dog milk.  Goat milk...how awful!  You have a pet so you'll need a vet for its life...and you're going to need to buy the meds and food (which may not be cheap) to take care of it.  Also, its going to get very big very quickly.  Start reading some sites on taking care of puppies...unfortunately a purchase like this without doing any research leads only to the dog being mistreated.  Please please call the vet first thing in the morning!

  6. If he really is registered (did he give you his registration number?) then report him to the AKC.  They will be very interested to know what this monster is doing.

Ask the vet what other authorities he can be reported to.  Chances are the vet will be shocked enough to where s/he will file a complaint against the guy as well.

Puppy milk replacer is a much better choice than the goat's milk.  THANK YOU for taking the poor little thing to the vet in the morning.  Please let us know how it goes.

  7. thats too young!...what kind of breeder would sell a puppy that young!?!...there are actually some state laws against that.  he isnt going to eat food he is just a baby!..keep him hydrated and if he turns worse before tomorrow morning take him to the emergency vet right away.  I would just love to know the name of that breeder.

  8. ...why on earth did you buy a dog at 3 weeks of age. If you have experience with dogs you should know what you did and what the breeder did is in fact ILLEGAL. The puppy is obviously sick and needs to be seen by a vet any breeder who would sell you a puppy this young is obviously not reputable and god knows what is wrong with this animal.

If the e-vet sells it buy some puppy milk replacement or send someone to walmart if you have a 24-hr one. And then tomorrow you need to go and get your money back from the breeder.

ALL puppies are adorable and this jerk off was hoping you would be more into the looks that using your brain.
