  1. I have a 2 ohm kicker 12" and i wish i could of bought a 4 ohm kicker 12" just like you.

for the reason being that you get MORE WIRING OPTIONS with the 4 ohm

with the 2 ohm you can only get a .5 ohm, 2 ohm, and 8 ohm load wired to the amp. and with 4 ohm it gets all those plus 1 ohm and 4 ohm.

So really it just gives you a more options to choose how many watts are going to your subs.

and if your talking about having 12" kicker CVR's wired to your amp well its a little bit under the RMS and trust me that amp is going to burn out in a while if you use it constantly at high volume any time soon.

i do recommend getting a bigger amp at least a 800 watt amp for those subs to be pounding decent in your trunk you can go up to 1600 watt amp to really get them hitting hard thats how i have them.

    hoped it help

  2. Ohm - The unit of electric resistance and impedance. One ohm is the resistance value through which one volt will maintain a current of one ampere.

as for your 8 ohm sub you can use any type of two channel amp. just don't over power it.

  3. Its an electrical resistance.

  4. i dont know how to explain an ohm, but you want to power it with an amp that pushes the the amount of wattage you need at 4 ohm

so say its a 4 ohm 800 Watt max sub, you would want an amp that pushes 800 Watt max @ 4 ohm

  6. Ohm is the amount of resistance in an electrical current.
