I just bought a westinghouse

Question

I just bought a westinghouse unplugged vacuum cleaner.( It is new) The design is awesome, and when it works it works great . But it has very short battery life. 1 battery lasts only about 5 minutes, and the other is even less. I did all the instructions told me as far as conditioning and charge yet I still do not get a very solid amount of vacuuming time. Is there any thing I can do?
