  1. eightbraker has got it. just to add a side note, that my friend taught me on his table when i began to get serious about playing.  after chalking while still walking the table, he helped me make a habit of bumping the shaft after chalking (not over the cloth) it will be 2nd nature soon, and you will keep your cloth and balls, much cleaner, much longer. has become a pet peve of mine lol, as im very picky about conditions. johnny i'll have to hide that quirk of mine from you, when i make my trek to texas :)  ohh i think your suspossed to brush worsted cloth from 1 end to the other, and maybe have heard to brush it the same direction, everytime? been a few years since i've owned any worsted

  2. Basically just keep it clean. Use a pool table brush on it after every session. Try to use chalk that is the same color as the cloth, or as close to it as you can get. Using the standard blue chalk on a red or grey cloth does not fair very well , if you know what i mean. If you have a tendency to break from the same spot all the time you may want to put a small piece of cloth under the cue ball when you break , and pick it up immediately afterwards. This will keep the cloth from wearing down in that particular spot. Other than that just keep it covered with a waterproof cover when not in use and it will stay nice for a long time. Enjoy your new table!
