I just broke the right mouse button off my laptop's touchpad...?

The plastic is snapped and the button is completely off. Any idea how much something like this will cost to fix? Will an entire replacement case have to be ordered and fitted?

  1. go to your nearest computer shop and ask. there most likely to do it for you for a few pound

  2. The whole touch pad will have to be replaced and that could prove expensive. Best thing to do is get a usb mouse.

  3. araldite it maybe.

  4. Case plastics turn up all the time on ebay - primarily because most computer failures are the result of a drop, or a spill. Simply buy the touch pad, and pay your friendly local computer nerd to fit it; as a bench mark, I would charge 20 quid for the job. On ebay, the parts are likely to to cost you 15 or so.

Don't even think about ordering the parts new; it will cost you an arm and a leg.
