I have to be quick as I just got the dog home and gave him some food and water again today but I rang the RSPCA ages away and they finally said they'd coem around.....should I hand my pics and report to the police? The dog is outside at the moment and seems to be doing well with my dogs......what to do NOW???? I have to be quick so any answer would be greatly appreciated!

  1. You can foster it until you find its owner?? Advertise online in a "found dog" section,Ask around your neighbourhood and last of all report to the pound.Poor thing is lost!

  2. If you are asking if you should show evidence that the dog was being neglected...then yes. I think I don't totally understand your Q.

  3. If the animal is injured, call the RSPCA again, but do not call the police. If the RSPCA says the same thing, take it to the vet or an animal hospital right away. Even if the RCPCA is going to do something about it, take it to the vet first anyway.

    Hope I helped,

  4. I'm with Lacy&Loki - i 'm not sure what it is you want us to answer. Also confused why you feel that the dog is neglected.  Poor little guy is probably lost & frightened.  You should be focusing on trying to reunite him/her with their owner.  Go down to your town newspaper & list the dog in Lost & Found section. Post signs around town that you have found this dog(photo would help). Glad to hear that your new house guest gets along with your dogs.  Just give the found pooch safe, fed & provide it with lots of chew toys.  I know you will give it lots of love or you would have looked the other way.

So happy that you were there to help; Hope i was here to help you.

  5. just do what needs to be done ..you know what to do...and help will be coming soon

  6. Put signs up saying found dog tell the  police.. give the dog lotsss of love maybe keep the dog if they seem it oftothe pound=[=[

  7. dont waste the polices time they have way better stuff to be doing, just feed it and try to get rid of  it or take it somewear to have it put to sleep if no one wants it thats what they will do at the pound anyways or go to a vet and  just drop it off like ppl do with babies at the fire dept.....?!?!

  8. When is the RSPCA coming? If it's soonish well why don't you wait and hand the pictures and report to them? If not, the best thing you can do is look after the dog best you can. You're lucky if he/she gets on with your dogs anyway.

  9. I agree! If you can "foster" her until you can figure something out. Keep her safe and secure, fed and watered. The worst thing that could happen is for her to be running free and get hurt or even killed, especially if the owner is out looking for her. Call the local shelter but don't forget about local rescue groups! In most cases rescue groups will response faster, and in my personal opinion, will do a better job helping you out then the city pound.
