  1. If you're talking about depo, you may not rec'v your period for a long time, then you might spot every now and then. I was on the shot from 1997-2003.

I bled the whole first month after I got on the shot, then I didn't have periods the whole rest of the time from 97-2003. I got off the shot in 2003, and I didn't rec'v period for a long time, then they started coming.  My doc said that the shot stays in your system for a long time even after you're not rec'v injections. I remember the month I got married (Oct 2004) my period came, and never went away, I was on my period for 11 days, I had to call my doc  and she gave me Nuva Ring, and my period stopped.

Nuva ring helped my body regulate regular periods (somehow) don't know how to explain it. I was on nuva ring from 2004-2007. I got off nuva ring last year so hubby and I could get pregnant. I got off in May and got pregnant in October. I was getting my periods regular like clockwork after nuva ring.

That shot will jack you up!

  2. It's OK, your body has gotten used to the birth control pills and it is still adjusting.  Your periods may be screwed up for a while, maybe 2-4 months or more depending on how long you were on birth control and what type of birth control you used.  I know depro provera really screws your cycle up when you come off it.
