  1. Turn it loose and let him do his job eating bugs. Thank u

  2. Why dont you let it go and buy a frog at a pet store where you can properly learn to care for it. The poor frog didnt do anything to you.

  3. Please..turn your found frog loose to go where ever he was headed be for ya picked him up..if where you are is extreamly dry. you.may water your flower beds  so little puddles form..frogs are Great and gentle    critters that preform a great service to Mankind and Please do not tamper with his or her destiny...just may eat the mosquito that spares a life...

  4. turn it loose where you found it...do some research on frogs and after you know what to do with them go buy one at a pet store.

  5. Set it free so it will live. Wild things are not pets. They are part of nature and are meant to live free and natural.

  6. U might not want to release it but it probably wont make it past a month (over 50% of wild caught amiphibians dont any many others die shartly after) it also you've probably massively shortened its life span

a "bowl" (i assume were talking a goldfish bowl) is not suitable

if u want a frog o some research by some books then buy a frog like a normal person this isnt some toy u know its a living animal your parents should know better (u should know better)

u really should let it go

ok so u've been cruel immoral and stupid lets try and keep it alive shall we

first of all what type of frog are we talking about (a tree frog a pond frog an exact species would be best) the info im gonna give u is what u need to do no slacking no ill do it 2moz u've decided to care for this creature u better otherwise its even more cruel than not putting it back where u found it

    tree frog

OK here's spend_day's generic tree frog caresheet (its actually one i wrote for green tree frogs) the temps will vary for different species

Need a tall tank so more hight than floor space 1.5feet (minimum) is ok 2 foot is much much better a 45x45x60 cm tall tank (a normal long aquarium just wont do) can house 4-5 frogs MAX (for 3 you'll need at leat 45x45x45), They require a well-planted woodland type set-up with a substrate of bark chips, topsoil or moss. Furnishings such as logs, cork bark and sturdy leafed plants (real or fake) can be arranged to provide a number of climbing, perching and hiding places. A small water bowl (no deeper than the frog's height at rest) must be provided with clean de-chlorinated or spring water. The water will need to be changed daily to avoid the build up of ammonia and bacteria in the water whilst changing the water it is a good idea to visually inspect the tank and remove, clean and replace any soiled items. The tank if it needs heating can be done with an under-tank heat-mat controlled by a thermostat. It is not advisable to use spot / heat lamps with amphibians and so a separate light source should be provided (low heat/watage) a fluorescent UVB (1-3%) tube can be used but isn't necessary. Once every month the tank and its contents should be completely cleaned and sterilized using an amphibian / reptile friendly disinfectant.

Feeding: For adults a mixture of suitably sized insects including crickets, mini-mealworm, flies, waxworm, small locust, caterpillars and moths should be fed every two-three days. A calcium and vitamin supplement should be used once a week. Young frogs will take hatchling crickets and fruitflies, these should be fed every day and a calcium and vitamin supplement used two-three times a week.

    semi aquatic (pond frogs)

first of all these frogs can live for up to 15 years (altho ill be surprised if they get past 2 or 3)

this will require a minimum of a 20 gallon long aquarium (the bigger the better) while these guys are young but by the time they are adults you'll be looking at a 55 gallon plus (the bigger the better). set up with about 1/3 land 2/3 water

the water will have to be treated to make it safe using an aquarium safe water treater (same as fish u can get these from pet stores) or u could just use bottled spring water. the water level should be at least 5 inches preferably more. the water will also have to be filter and preferably cycled (but u dont have time for cycling) there should be easy ways out of the water onto the land area

the land section should be covered in organic potting soil (NO pesticides or fertilizers and microwaved for 1 min) Eco earth coco humus or moss leaf litter or leaf mulch(again microwaved) and have several hiding place

as for temperature the cooler the better never above 25C

Food is bugs (earthworms slugs deshelled snails, mealworms (behead first) crickets (dont leave in the aquarium too long) flightless fruit flies) all these can be bought from a local pet store or online livefood stores. babies feed every day (also for the babies daphnia or bloodworms are a good choice as well as the stuff above) No food should be given that is wider than the space bettween there eyes. Adults need to be fed every other day

Never mix differnt species of any reptile or amphibian here's why

    common problems inculde

eating each other (its suprising what will at least try to eat what)

Attacking/ killing each other (2 animals that dont normally live together will sometimes fight.

stress (makes for ill reptiles just being near even a species from the same geological range can be stressful to these animals)

Incompatible toxins bacteria and illnesses (especially with phibs but is common with others 2 just cause one species can handle one type of bacteria/doesn't mean they all can these animals evolved in totally different ways meaning there resistant to different things, as for toxins many phibs and invert have these as defense mechanisms and can easily kill or make the others ill)

just because 2 animals require similar set-up and temps doesnt mean there suitable

remember no frogs toads newts or salamanders should be handled unless absolutely necessary due to the salts and chemical on your hands and in your skin being absorbed through the phibs skin and this can seriously harm your frog maybe even kill it (washing your hands careful then handling with wet hand for only as few seconds is the only safeish way)

On My final note Please PLEASE release it back where u found it wild frogs dont do well in captivity and will likely die. frogs are more intelligent than people give them credit for and it will probably become stressed from living in captivity. this can lead to health problems maybe even death.

  7. You should let the frog go where you caught it.  Do this soon before it dies.  Aquatic frogs can be difficult to keep and the mortality rate in captivity is high.

  8. you should put the poor thing back in the same place you found it.if you really want a frog, just go to petco or petsmart.they will have all the info that you need to raise it.plus.....it takes a lot of work and money to raise 'a' frog.anyway, the store will probably have captive bred frogs.hope this helps,im just tired of people taking animals out of the wild and then to die by uninformed or misinformed hands.

  9. Wherever you caught the frog, take it back and release it.

It's a wild creature and needs to go back to its natural environment.  Unless the frog was injured then call your

local wildlife experts (usually under government pages).  If

the frog is not injured, please release it back into the wild.

It can take care of itself. If you try to keep it, it may die.

  10. Turn it loose. It's not your life to play with.

  11. Just let it go.  It will die.

  12. Female frogs are larger than the males their s*x organs are more readily visible too. Frogs will eat generally any smaller water borne critter than can swallow. Problem is taking a frog from the wild often freaks it out to the point they refuse to eat. Frogs raised from tadpoles are a different story. I'd turn it loose.

YOU MAY TAKE MY LIFE BUT YOU'LL NEVER TAKE AWAY MY FREEDOM!!

  13. does he have big legs? they are very delicious, but it would be very nice to turn him loose and let him have a very full life like you want for yourself.
