I just changed my career choice at age 25...a good or bad decision?

Half way through college, I stopped to work in the field for awhile, when I returned I wanted another career choice. I'm 25, now is that a bad decision on my part, even if I enjoy the new career choice more?

  1. No, I don't think so. It's not unusual for people today to try multiple careers or move jobs frequently. The days of sticking with one job and retiring with a gold watch and a pension are nearly gone. You're still plenty young. Find out what kind of job really keeps you motivated. The only way it could be a problem is if you move jobs too often. Employers do want to see that they can get more than a year or two out of you :) Good luck in your new field!

  2. Better to change career choice now than spend the rest of your working life regretting your decision.  I changed careers and went to law school at age 30 (and I wasn't the oldest person in my class).  I've never regretted it and have been practicing my "new" career for almost 30 years.

  3. you cant tell yet

  4. No, people change careers all the time. At 25 you are still young and going back to school will not be as much of a problem as someone who is 10 to 20 years older. It is important to do what you love rather than doing something that you thought you might have liked or enjoyed for awhile, but are no longer interested in.

  5. No thats a good decision because 25 isn't too old at all and you'd rather do a job that makes you happy because you'll tend to put more effort in it.
