I just completed my first shop as a mystery shopper for Bestmark.?

MY question is does anyone actually make a living off from mystery shopping?

I have done about 20 different secret shopping assignments. It is difficult to make a  "living", the $ paid for the shops are usually in the single digits . It is nice, if you have extra time and want to make a little extra.Payment is Usually 3-5 weeks. I did 5 or 6 shops last month and am expecting about $50.00, in November. there are some bigger paying shops out there, but they are usually really involved, and you can't count on them being around.

Is it the same as "secret shopper"?  I have heard that people do, I am not sure how though.  If I knew it was for real and not a scam, I would do it.
