  1. well LIZERDS dont exist. but lizards do bite. anything with a mouth bites, duh

  2. Well, anything will bite you of you make it mad enough!  But it kind of depends on what type of lizard it is. They all bite, but some have bigger tempers that others. But since you caught it in the wild, I would have to suggest that you put it back where you found it. And noting that you didn't spell lizards, I don't think that they are the pet for you. Lizards require special care, like UV lamps, and you have to know how to take care of that specific species. They aren't the type of animal you just pick up and put in a jar. If you are thinking of getting one, you should really research them and find out what type is best for you. I used to know nothing about them, but now, You could pick almost any random species, and I would know exactly how to take care of them. Sorry if I was acting like a know it all.

  3. Lizards bite but it doesnt hurt!

  4. depending on what lizard it is and you should let it go especially if it is wild because it can die from stress if not bron from a pet store raised as a pet.

  5. u really should put it back wild caught reps hardly ever do well in captivity. the stress and shock of coming into captivity kills many others die due to a lowered immune system (caused by stress). those that survive often have stress related behavior disorders get ill more often are harder to tame and have a shortened lifespan. they also never settle down and have a poor quality of life.

also there is the environmental implications to think about.

  6. You need to release it right back where you got it from.  If you live in the USA, it's prohibited by Federal law to remove a native animal from it's natural habitat.

    Not only:

1.) is the poor lizard terrified, also

2.) it serves a purpose in the wild, and

3.) it can be carrying parasites and disease.

I know it's cute, and you'd rather keep it, but that is the wrong choice for you AND the lizard.

If he has touched your heart, and caused you to want to own a lizard for a pet, then you need to google lizards, decide what kind you'd like to have, and then learn all about it.

Once you know what it eats, how to set up it's lights, heat, UVB, etc. And get its habitat set up and ready, then you will be ready to buy a captive born lizard.

Do the right thing, Sweetie, and let the poor thing go.

I hope this has been helpful.
