Question:

I just discovered someone I believe to be a family member, Pastor Stephan Spitzbarth?

I'm hoping someone with a lot of geneology savy can tell me something about him.He was born 4/2/1715 in Olvenstedt, Magdeberg.He was pastor from 1741-1758 in Wuppental-Elberfield- Founder of the Kolk Curch,Then pastos in Magdenburg( St Jacobs Church) from 1758 to 1770.He died 3/11/1770 in Magdenburg Thats all I know the next relative I found is Gustav Adolf Spizbart born 1821 Halbinstadt. Where is the connection Help!

    I also just went to www.rootsweb.com and just put in the last name, no first name, and got several old references to Spitzbarth you might be interested in checking out.

    If you don't find him, I'd go to www.raogk.org and get a volunteer from that area of  Germany that might have access to that information. They might be able to get records from the Old Kolk church even though it was bombed during the war, there still may be records that exist.
