I have been donating for 35 years, every 2 to 3 months.

Good for you! I donated last year for the first time. It was pretty cool. They gave me biscuits afterwoulds. I was planning to do it again soon, but I have had a bad time with viruses lately so I suppose they won't want me until i'm healthy. :(

I have never needed blood, but I hear that one blood donation can save 3 lives.

I've donated about 4 times, and not (yet) needed.

My mother had surgery where she needed blood, although she had pre-donated for her own surgery and family had also donated in advance.
