I just downloaded limewire..?

Question

So when i went to download a song [ Beautiful- Christina Aguilera ]

It said this :

Limewire is unable to find a lincense for this file. Download the file anyway?

Is it okay to download the file?

This is my first time trying this so...any advice is appreciated =o

I would say no because you don't want the law on you. Plus limewire glitches your computer and the songs usually skips.

yes, just be careful 'cause sometimes it's a corrupted file...

make sure you have a good anti virus

The download looks illegal, as are most of the free downloads you can get through Limewire. The software has its legitimate uses, but sharing music and video are not among them.

I would be VERY cautious about downloading files from P2P...

Not only are they riddle with MalWare, they DMCA is getting more and more involved with illegal downloads of copyright material.

About two weeks ago, one of my Marines said that his son was downloading SIMs 2 and was caught by the DMCA -

He received a letter from the DMCA and his ISP.  The dad now has so many days to PROVE that he has a license for it!  The ISP said his account will be suspended unless it was proved that it was an infringement of the DMCA!  

I was REALLY surprised until I read the letter!  The son was using a Torrent site!  Most likely a DCMA torrent!
