I just downloaded poker tracker?

Question

i am trying to figure out and if someone can explain to me what (VPIP) is its like a stat it keeps but i don't know what it means.

is it good or bad

any help, explination, and examples of what a good one is would really help/

all those poker tracker software programs are dumb imo, some will get u baned from poker sites, and basically they tell you if you made a good play or not, but it is useless imo unless u are gonna do exactly waht they say to do, which is just as percentage, so basically no human intuition involved
