I just dripped a red smoothie all over my parent's beige rug...?

I tried blotting if off with a wet towel, but it didn't work. Hope I didn't make it worse. I looked at my mom's cleaning supplies, and I found some Penn Champ foaming carpet cleaner. It says I should spray it on, wait for it to dry and then vacuum. It doesn't say it has bleach in it or say to test it first, so would this be okay to use on an off white carpet? Would it even work? If not, could someone tell me what might work? Thank you.

  1. Do you have a steam cleaner or a wet vac? Those would be my first options, but if not then I would maybe try and soak up as much of it as you can, add more clean water to it, soak up again, and keep doing this until it clears up. I did the same thing with red wine and it surprisingly cleaned it all up.

Not sure about that carpet cleaner, if you wait too long and it doesn't do anything but dry in, then you are stuck with the mess.

  2. Spread shaving cream, not gel, on the stain. Let it sit for a bit then scrub it and blot with a damp paper towel then soak up the moisture with a dry paper towel. It WILL work!!!

  3. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... your in BIG trouble! thats not gonna be able to come out and that Penn Champ will help a little but not a lot. this is what i did when i spiilled red gatorade---move the couch [if there is one up as far as you can tto cover it and hopefully no one will notice! lol thats what i did and it worked for a year untilmy parents got the carpet removed for hard woodd flooring
