I hate to break this to you, but Rey Mysterio aka Rey Mysterio, Jr. has been wrestling almost 20 years and has thousands of masks. WWE sell replicas of his mask at every House Show, Live Event and Pay Per View where he wrestles. For Kane to have one mask of his, big deal. That man has worn so many different masks wrestling in AAA, ECW, WCW, WWF/WWE and many other wrestlin promotions. This is a storyline to launch a Kane vs. Rey Mysterio feud, this gives Rey a major storyline, something WWE hasn't given to him since he as drafted to Raw. This feud should last through the end of the year.
