ughh i just failed for the second time on 1 thing!!! just because i stalled on a hill and didnt put the hand brake back on straight away before pulling out, im absolutely gutted i cant even explain the feeling its terrible.. made plans to pick up this girl after, just feel like i let everyone down its horrible :( I did the manouvers perfect and everything, dont you think they should be a bit more lenient considering how nervous people are during the test.. i mean i havn't stalled for months i cant even believe i did it!! Does anyone else know how bad this feels?

  1. Are you from the US? Consider yourself lucky that your test is conducted using Auto-trans. Here in Malaysia, we have to manage the additional clutch pedal and the manual gearstick. On a slope, most Auto can hold the vehicle still, but not a Manual. We have to hold the handbrake, the clutch pedal fully stepped upon, and race the engine whilst slowly releasing the clutch in gear before releasing the handbrake. Much tougher, because we have to coordinate in between 3 pedals, unlike Auto which is only 2.

  2. I know how you feel i passed on my 3rd go.But the first two fails made me feel like sh*t!

You sound like your not a bad driver so try to stay positive and give it your all next time and as for letting people down that's nonsense, you've let know one down at all!

Good luck for your next test

  3. yes it seems harsh, they know you can drive sometimes i think its a money thing, they want your retest fee

  4. i got failed for slamming on the brakes when a dog ran out in front of the car.the trooper said : what if there were cars behind me?i  i looked at him and said i'm not gonna kill a dog to get my license.

  5. Before you take your test, practice in an empty lot, or other relatively empty area. Make sure you have a good driver with you to make sure you're doing things right.

Get in the car with the inspector. Relax. Adjust your seat, mirrors, and steering wheel to help ensure the inspector that you know what you are doing. Ask any questions that you have prior to the test. The tester will be glad to answer them.

Inspectors are people just like you. They want to see that you pass the test, but they have to make sure that you will be a good driver. Exude confidence, obey the rules of the road, and you'll pass.

  6. sometimes i can't even understand what's the purpose of having driver's license if some pro-drivers can commit car accidents or crazy drivers at all. they are very strict to learners of driving but when this person has his/her driver license, they often get in trouble in driving. plenty of car accidents you will hear on the news but those who have no license and drive well, they don't get in trouble. anyway, have courage in yourself. failing in second time is not enough also to feel depressed. and most driving centers do only want to earn a lot more. it's also kinda business thing.

  7. Many things feel worse.

Having a loved one die, for example.

If failing a driving test is the worst thing that ever happened to you, you are very lucky.
