I just filed my taxes, when will I receive my stimulus check?

I had filed and extension and just filed my taxes today. How long will it take to receive my stimulus check?

processing of tax returns takes 6-12 weeks, once processed IRS will then send you your stimulus rebate if you Qualify for it. Just because you filed doesn't mean you qualify.  Check IRS website and us the stimulus calculator, have a copy of your tax return.

Somewhere between August 25 and December 31.

It depends on if you are getting a refund or have a balance due.  It also depends on how you filed.

I e-filed my refund return on July 7.  My refund was direct deposited July 18.  My rebate was direct deposited July 25th.

If you have a balance due and mailed your return, then it could take 12-20 weeks to process your return, then another 2-3 weeks to process your rebate (stimulus check).

If you mailed your return and have a refund coming, then it probably will take six weeks to process the return, another week to process the refund and another 2-3 weeks to process the rebate.  

If you are getting a check instead of direct deposit, then add another week or ten days to allow mailing time for the check.  If you used a third party preparer, they will probably mail your check to you.

Probably in 6-8 weeks. If you e-filed and asked for direct deposit, it would be within a month.

If you are eligible about 2 weeks after the tax return is processed.  You can use the web program where's my stimulus at irs.gov to track when it has been allocated to you.

The IRS has suggested that they will issues stimulus checks for late filers about two weeks after they process the return.  They say they are going to get those processed within 6 weeks of receiving them.  I think they will really take a bit longer as they have been so backed up with all of the stimulus stuff.  If you get it with in 12 weeks for mailing you will be doing well.
