I just formatted the card from my video camera using the computer but now the computer won't recognise it ?

after i read the instructions it says i should format the card using the camera, i thought maybe i could reformat it using the camera will this fix it???

That would be a good place to start.

Your computer may not be able to read the memory card directly.  You may have to connect the camera to your computer to transfer the files.

Formatting the card in the camcorder also creates the folders the camera needs - it should fix it and it can't do any harm.
