I just found a 39 year old 50 dollar bill???

It doesn't have any water marks, so I thought it was fake but then my mom was telling that the old ones don't have them does anyone know anything about this???

My mom also said it might be worth more than $50.

check the serial number to see if its worth more, my guess would be no, its not THAT old.... Take it to the bank and exchange it for a newer one or smaller $$$... Depending on your area and store policies you may have trouble spending it.. they are real sticklers about the possibility of counterfits. Good Luck & Good Find!

I would frame it. That would look pretty tight and you will be able to sell it for much more when the occassion comes around.

Your 39 year old $50.00 bill is made by the Federal Reserve Bank and is worth about $50.00. If it said Silver Certificate, and depending on condition, then it would be worth a couple more bucks. But check with a coin store, there may be markings on it which might make it worth more. look for a star at the beginning of the serial number.
