I put him in his cage with food and water--but I'm confident he's super dehydrated. Is there any other special care required?

  1. to make him drink more i went to my pet store and they gave me a liquid that make him crave water more and they gave me a mulch to make him more comfortable when i lost mine. He was gone for seven days. He is five now. =D Im so happy!!!!!!

  2. as long as he has water and food he will be fine. if he really feels the need to drink or eat, he will. its instinctive. as long as there is a source it will be used. don't stress out over it.

  3. get a cage for him and get food and mulch and put it in the cage when u get the cage u should get toys for him to so he has something to do

  4. You should contact a pet food store worker. Or even better, contact an exotic vet.

  5. If you really think he's very dehydrated, you should buy some pedia-lyte and put some in his water. That helps combat dehydration. An even better idea is to give him the pedia-lyte in his water, and in a syringe (the ones for feeding kittens and such) to ensure that he gets adequate hydration. That's what I've used for hamsters with wet-tail (hamsters who die of wet tail usually die of dehydration).

  6. make sure he has lots of water and lots of food to rejuvenate. also leave him alone tonight and let him get used to hid cage again

  7. give him lots of food and water and let him rest

  8. just lots of food and water is all i know to tell you. if he's hungry and dehydrated im sure he'll do his thing and drink. maybe give him some fresh fruits and veggies so he gets the proper vitamins after being gone that long.
