  1. If you study hard for your SAT you will still get into college.  Also, many community colleges have adult basic skills courses that could help you brush up on your grammar, along with any other skills you may need.  Many of those programs do not even require a SAT score, so you could take some of those first and then take your SAT.

Then you could also put in a few years toward an Associates Degree, if you can pull off good grades in that you might be able to get into a college that gives four year degrees.

Its possible you'll get into a lower ranking college without doing the comunity college first, but I still strongly recommend brushing up on your grammar.

  2. Depends on the college. It will get you into most universities, but you won't go ivy league or receive a scholarship with it. You'll be fine. Once in college, you get a clean slate grade wise. Build up that GPA and focus on getting into a great grad school!

  3. C average is pretty poor if you want to go to college. Maybe that National American University place would be good for you... you know, "1 day, 1 night, saturday is alright"

You could get into hotel/motel management, restaurant operations, or maybe diesel mechanics... good luck.

  4. A lot depends on your ACT or SAT test scores.  Homeschooling can vary a lot, so admissions officers may not be able to tell how well you've learned the material, or predict how well you'll do in college.  It may help to include samples of special projects, a copy of your high school curriculum, etc, to show that you've learned as much as a traditional student would have.  You may not be admitted to a major school, but instead have to attend a community college or 2nd tier school for the first 2 years.  If you do well there, you should be able to transfer to other schools.

  5. well, a GPA of a C isnt really that good. But u can get into a college. IT actually depends on what college u wanna go to. U cant enter a good college with that GPA but u can sure enter a middle class or a bad college.

  6. Sure you will accepted to a college on a C average.

To be honest, it won't be Ivy League.  But I am sure there is a good liberal arts college out there that will be a good fit for you.

And try to do really well on the SAT or ACT; whichever one you take.  The schools really look at those scores!!

    Good luck!!  And enjoy college.

  7. Note to Trinity - gee, thanks for offending those of us with Bachelor of Science degrees in Hotel & Restaurant Management.  Do you know what?  I think you're a teacher, right?  I had harder math, science, & liberal arts classes than you most likely did.  Hmm....

For the questioner - as others have said, a C is okay, but not the best for scholarships.  I had a high B in high school, and rec'd a better GPA in college because I was a lot more interested in the courses.  I made a 4.0 in my major.

You will need your ACT/SAT scores, a transcript, a portfolio of your work, and possibly an interview.  It would look good if you have community activities or volunter positions also.

You know what?  Half of the doctors, lawyers, educators, *anyone* were below average in their course work also.  :-)

  8. A C is average, or is supposed to be.  Many state schools are required to accept any student with a 2.0 or above, so long as they have room.

So, sure you can go to college.  Your SAT/ACT scores are just as important as your GPA.

If you want to raise your GPA, you could homeschool another class in which you think you will do well.  That is the great thing about homeschooling, you can change it to suit your needs.

    Good luck :D

  9. You can get into a college, but it is not going to be a very high ranking college.  You are going to have to apply to different schools and see.  Most colleges have their requirements posted on their website and/or on the application

  10. You could always go to community college, bring your grades up and after a year (or two-which ever you prefer) you can always transfer.
