Turns out I am the last remaining heir to a guy, so I am entitled to his monies. Which came at a good time as I am struggling to make ends meat. My question is...How long does it take to get my money? It's been two weeks and I haven't heard back from them. I sent them all the necessary information they were requiring:

bank account number

PIN

and social security number

They told me they would automatically deposit the money...But I don't see it. Is there a number I can call?

  1. I really hope that this wasn't in reply to an email you received. If you are serious that you have sent this information, then you must get in touch with your bank immediately.

Please tell me that this is a joke and you didn't fall for this sort of scam. It is identity fraud.

  2. This is absolutely a scam.  Contact your bank.  Change your account number immediately.  Go online (USA) and get a copy of your credit report free.  https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i...  This website is on the Federal Trade Commission website -- http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer...  I have used it myself.  And, it is free.

Put a freeze on all your credit reports.  You have to do this for each one or buy one of those programs such as lifelock to do it for you.  If you do it yourself, it is free.  The lock is for 3 months.  No one can use your credit information to open an account.

Go oneline and find the company.  Either it is fake or he has set up a dummy site.

If you're so sure it is legit, start with going online and checking out the company.

I don't know what you should do about your social security.  Call the local office and ask them.

  3. You got taken.

A PIN is required only for withdrawing money, not to deposit or transfer from another account.

And no one needs your SSN to verify if you are a heir.

I suggest you contact the bank and immediately close down your account.  Put a credit fraud alert on your credit cards, and report this to the police as identity theft.

  4. That's called a SCAM: do not send any more personal  info. Do not send money. Actually, If I were you I'd contact the local police and tell them about this.

  5. we all know who was born that minute.

  6. sounds like a scam,be carefull giving out your personal info.

  7. U should look on ancestry.com and they give u a family tree of your whole family, and u can find out if it's a scam or not....just to be on the safe side, also I think the reason you'll emailed so much is because he was tryna get to believe he wasn't lying and also to get to know what type of person u are, now that u gave him your personel info, he doesnt need  to talk to u anymore cause he got what he wanted...besides I think your parents would have told u u were related to royalty ppl.

  8. this is sooooo a scam, no one needs your pin to deposit money, and when I inherited money I received a letter from an attorney, with the check, and the statement of the taxes that were payed on my behalf. No legit inheritance would contact you through e-mail. Only via letter.

  9. You're getting ready to learn a hard lesson.  You better contact your bank immediately.  You have been scammed.

  10. You have to be kidding with what you have written.  If you are serious, I am afraid you have been scammed my friend.

  11. I have gotten emails like this to that say you can have all thiks money because you may have been related to someone. Well when i emailed back this guy was saying he wanted half of the money and i was thinking if it is my money then why would i give someone half. Its a scam dont do it. I guess its to late now because you already gave your info. You will have to call the bank and tell them what happen so they can watch your account. Sorry man, but dont fall for that stuff anymore. No one just gives out free money. I wish!

  12. Look up Anastasia Romanov on Google. Was you benefactor Nigerian? Sorry, you have less now than before. And you need to set up new accounts.
