  1. tell your mom....perhaps the two of you can search together.  plus perhaps your brother\sister is looking for you as well.   then you could talk with some of the adoption agencies, they could probably give you some information....good luck :)

  2. tal to your mom in a nice way and then ask her if what is the reason why she did that of course there are reasons in all the things the we do!

and understand her whatever will the reason.

  3. I think you should ask your mom. Maybe you are the support she needs or the nudge to get her to help you. You could look together and be supportive for each other.

  4. confront your mom with understanding and maybe she will have the same understanding of your need

  5. Do you have someone who can interceded on your behalf with your mum or be there when you approach her?  Explain that you know about the other child and that you wish to be in touch with your sibling.  If your mother says "no" then try your grandparents.  As a blood relative you can write to the state and obtain a birth certificate for that sibling.

  6. Hi,

That's very exciting to find that you have another sibling!  Yes, if you and your sibling are both over 18, you may both register with International Soundex Reunion Registry.  You do not even need to involve your mom unless you want to since that person you are seeking is also your relative.

Are you sure you do not want to involve your mother?  She may have additional information that will help you to get matched up, & also she may be thinking about searching herself.

ISSR is free, worldwide, and they keep your information online indefinately until a match is made or until you ask them to remove it.

I found two separate natural family members through them.  Their link is below.

    Good luck,

  7. If you want to find your sibling, that is your right and you don't need anyone's approval or permission!  A State and dob is usually enough

Some States have sibling reunion registries you can sign up to be reunited with each other.  It would help if you told us which State as the rules in all States are so different

  8. It is important to make sure that your mom knows your reasons for wanting to find your sibling, but please remember that whatever her choices were at the time that she gave that baby up for adoption will most likely have a lot of buried saddness and possible regret attached. There may be alot of fear that goes along with the want to relocate that child. It may help if you can sit down with her and let her know that you love her unconditionally no matter what has been done in the past and that you want to be there with "her" to try and relocate her first child together and you will be there to support her whatever you two may find at the end.

IF she is not prepared to go down that road at this point in her life, please respect that as it is HER decison. I would suggest to you to ask her to give you any information that she may have and proceed to search that way, and if not then register with the ISSR. I have been reunited with my birth mother through their services and through my adoption papers I located my birth father. He was not listed on my birth records, but was listed on my FULL birth brother's( that I didn't know about.) I had no idea I had a full brother out there and I am currrently searching for him as well. There are a few different web sites that carry birth registries that you can look up on google. Goodluck with your search, just please remember that sometimes things are better left as is if it is what the people involved want.  :)
