I just found somthind in my cornsankes cage

i just noticed a small c**p-like thing moving around my snakes cage. it was large enough for me to see its legs and head. i was wondering if it could be a mite or tick,and i only saw 1 of them.

Do you mean "crab-like," or has his stool started walking around?!!

That would be one mother of a mite!  It could be a tick... no clue!

Can you provide a photo for us?

Whatever it is - if it's large enough for you to see/catch, and its moving around the tank in the bedding - remove the snake immediately, strip and disinfect the tank, replace the substrate material, and then check the snake carefully for other "crab-like" invaders on his skin, or parked under a scale and feeding.

um if it was big enough to see its head and legs then it's probably a tick. Check your snake for more and if there are more, get them off immediately!!! Keep a close eye on your snake, if it begins to act strange then see a vet right away!

Do you have a picture of it?  Hard to tell without seeing what it is.  But like others said, I would take my snake out and clean the tank....check for anything under scales and that should help....
