I just got 2 12" jbl subs with 300 rms and 1200 watts peak. will my rockford punch p300-1 amp be a good enuf

If you were willing to get 2 of them, they would work great. The problem with one is that, no matter how you slice it, Your wiring options with those subs are a 1 ohm final load or a 4 ohm final load. The only way to end up with a 2 ohm final load is to wire the coils in parallel. then straight to the amp.

You should look for an amp that is 600 watts RMS at 4 or 1 ohm.

It would work, but it will most likely under power the sub woofer. This is a bad thing to have, so you would be much better off to get a higher power amp.

ya that will probably work fine. That is so awesome that you bought Rockford. I have all Rockford fosgate in my car and it sounds hella good.
