I have a 1800watt rockford amp with 2 new 750watt eclipse subs.... my amp was blown so i sent it out to the manufacturer and they sent it back to me "repaired". when i hooked everything back up, the only way i get anything to come out of the subs is by turning the gain on the amp all the way up...it doesnt make sense.

anyone have any ideas on whats wrong or how i could get the system to work properly?

thanks

  1. go back to the manufacturer and tell him if theres a way that the sound can come out of the subs w/o turning the amp all the way up. its probably through your radio and not ur amp.

    ps--can you pick me up????

  2. well this is kinda stupid but it worked for me, My amp for some reason just stopped working and i didnt know why. but my remote wire i had go to the blue, so then i switched it over to the red and now it works fabulous. So helps or it doesnt good luck

  3. ....ok first that is WAY to much for 1 amp...that could be a reason it was blown, and why its still not wrking....hope this helps

if u have any more questions hit me up

  4. Most of the time when you get an amp or radio fixed that was blown will never sound the same. The reason why is a lot of times the repairman cant get original parts because they were only made for a certain amount of amp's,radio's so now they have to buy generic witch never sound the same. When an amp blows the mosfets short out (metal oxide field effect transistor). In some cases the board will fry also tiny traces will burn (very difficult to fix)I have always had problems repairing rockford fosgate because there switching power supplies are very complicated.By you sending it to them it should have been fixed properly and it wasnt. Its not your wires its like i stated in previous answers punch is goin downhill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  5. is the wiring backwards?
