  1. Yeah, you can change your earrings, just make sure you aren't allergic to the new posts. Your told not to change your earrings for 6 weeks because you risk irritating the holes and impeding the healing process. However, since you're allergic to your earrings, your ears are already irritated. Just be quick when you change the earrings; take the old earrings out and put the new earrings in immediately (and make sure the new earrings are sterilized; you don't want the holes to close over, and you don't want your ears to swell up so much you can't get the new earrings in.

  2. NONONONO never use achol that is what is iratating it you will get it infected by useing achol stop right now get a teaspoon of salt and a warm cup of water and dip a qutip in it

  3. Pretty well everything you're doing could be causing the irritation. The ear rings themselves could be the problem too if they aren't high quality.

If you had them done with a gun: The ear rings are most likely part of the problem. Piercing guns use low quality metal plated with other low quality metals. Get yourself some implant grade stainless steel (silver colour) or titanium (available in many colours). Have a qualified piercer change them for you (you can buy them at the studio)

    Otherwise:

Rubbing alcohol is not good for piercings. Ever. It's harsh and drying. Stop using it. It causes irritation, which is what you're describing. Only do sea salt soaks for cleaning, no soap, no chemicals. Mix 1/4 tsp sea salt with 1 cup warm water and soak for 10 mins 2-3 times per day.

Turning the rings. Don't do it. Every time you move the jewelry you create micro-tears in the healing tissue. This will irritate your piercing and form scar tissue. Think of it like picking a scab, it takes longer to heal and leaves a scar.

  4. I got my ears pierced when I was 14, and I had the hardest time with them for a while. I had infection after infection... and it hurt! I finally stopped doing the alcohol cleaning, and they stopped getting infected. I have no idea why it happened like that, but perhaps the alcohol is irritating your ears.

What kind of earring are you using? You might want to get nickel free earrings, or hypoallergenic earrings of some sort, if you think you're allergic.
