I was just electrocuted pulling some stuff out of the gutter on top of a store. Im pretty sure it was from a loose wire coming out of a sign on top of the building. I felt my whole arm get shocked for a second. How many watts or volts did I just experience (the wire was from one of those commercial light fixtures)

  1. Welcome to the club.

I was locked onto to 120vac once.  I thank God the wire shorted out before me.  Then there was the fall that could have occurred as well.

  2. You got shocked, not electrocuted; we know that  because you are still alive.

  3. The watt or volt depends on how much is the electricity from the wire that comes from a electricity source.

  4. You are lucky to be alive.  The shock could have thrown you to the ground, or stopped your heart.

110 or 220 V, probably, depending where you live, but what is more important is the current, which depends on what resistance the electricity had to go through to get to ground.
