I just got a "Top Contributor" showing in my profile for the "Etiquette" section. What does this mean? And how many questions did you need to answer to achieve this?

  1. Darling, it means that you've been spending a titch much time here. x

    Congratulations.

  2. Yahoo doesn't make the exact formulas public, and they appear to vary depending on how 'populous' a category is. Experienced users have concluded it's based on participation levels over the previous 3 weeks, defined as some combination of:

    - number of answers in the category

    - number of BAs in the category, and

    - total points in the category, including votes, 'thumbs-up' and BAs

  3. I'm not sure.  I just got "Top Contributor" for the entire Society and Culture section.  Wish I knew, but it really doesn't matter; I think it kinda neat, though.

  4. I think it's when you best answer rating exceeds a certain percentage.  I notice that is a common trend with most top contributors; high % of best answers.
