  1. try some other food....!!

  2. Give it about 7 to 10 days to settle in. Check you temperature and humidity levels. They need to be exact not "warm". For about $15.00 you can get a digital acurite thermometer/hygrometer setup for the tank. Place the probe over the UTH and then mount the body of the acurite on the cool end of the tank. Give it several hours and check the temps/humidity and adjust your setup accordingly.

  3. The most common cause of a snake not eating is because of temperature. Carpet pythons require a hotspot of 87 degrees (31'C).

Give him a week to settle in without bothering him, unless to changed soiled substrate or fill up water, and keep him in a relatively quiet room with little traffic.

After the week, try again with a fuzzy mouse, making sure its nice and warm before attempting to feed. If he doesn't take it - leave it in the enclosure overnight and see what happens. If still nothing, wait another 2 weeks and try again, he should eventually take it using this method.

Good luck with him, carpets are great snakes.
