  1. I would not allow a pregnant guinea pig outside. She needs to be in an environment with a constant temperature of 70-75 degrees fahrenheit.

Here is some reading that may help you:

There's no sure fire way to tell how far along she is unless you take her to a vet and have a sonogram done.

  2. I wouldn't do it. Too stressful.

  3. not-sure but i don't think it would hurt,just keep a careful eye

  4. make sure there are NO chemicals, fertilizer or anything on the grass.

do not just turn an aquarium upside down... she will cook in there.

a screened in fence will do wonders, like 3 screen doors (wood type) hooked together in a triangle, a 4 if you have them.

Portable, give her shade and sun both if possible. make sure she has water.

Age is a factor. Make sure she is young enough that her hips have not fused (not an issue if she has had previous litters).

Just watch her belly grow, piggies are preggers for somewhere in the neighborhood of 62 days (I looked it up, said 62-70 days, the more babies she is carrying, the shorter the pregnancy- according to that site).

If she is over 9 months old, take her to the vet as soon as you can, with fused hips, she WILL die while trying to give birth.

When the babies are born, they are fully developed, but will nurse from the mom.

Treat them as you always have, give treats, carrots, yams, clover, grass, plus lots of guinea pig pellets. Pellets should always be available.

Estimate as close as you can as to when she got pregnant and count up 60 days. This will give you an estimated due day.
