I just got a Wii Fit. I'm having trouble setting it up, every time I try to sinc the balence board, my romote gets disconnected, even if I don't move it from where it was when it is connected. Can anyone help?

First make sure that you're performing the sync process correctly.

Press the red sync button on the balance board first, THEN press the sync button on the console. The lights should blink and then steady after a few seconds. If successful, the balance board will appear as P4 on the controller setup screen.

Make sure that your remotes have fresh batteries in them (this may cause them to disconnect). Also make sure that you don't have more than 10 Wii remote profiles on your system, as the system will only save the last 10 synced with the Wii.

This could be the issue if you've had friends over and you synced their remotes with your system when they played...
