I just got a baby gerbil?

i got a baby gerbil thursday and when i got it it was very playful but yesterday it slept all day and today it can open his eyes only half ways. it barely eating and drinking i dont no what to do is it sick and if it is what do i have to do to help it get better

if it is then i guess go to the vet just to check if hes ok?

Well where did you purchase the gerbil?

call a local pet store and tell them about it.

or call a local veterinarian.

hes probably just scared because he is so young and by himself in a new cage

Your Gerbil is not sick. He is just scared! And not used to your house and you and your family! He also is a baby! Baby's sleep alot and stuff!

new animals are like that , yesterday it was exited to explore its new environment , now he probably just wants to rest he will liven up around 7.00 pm , he will be fine , dont worry . good luck xx
