  1. the maximum penalty in texas is a $10,000 fine and/or 2-10 years in prison. Of course you will not get the max, chances are you will get probation for first time offender.

  2. Your girlfriend doesn't press charges; that's up to the DA.  I'm sure her injuries are going to be taken into account.

It will depend on where you live.  In California, the basic fine for Vehicle Code 23153(a,b), driving while intoxicated causing injury, has a fine of about $2,000-2,500.  Plus, in California a felony DUI means you lose your license for three years, are on probation for 3-5 years, and can result in a maximum of several years in jail.

  3. Depends upon the state, but felony DUI is not a slap on the wrist.  Based on the serious injury, it is a real possibility that you could get 2 years in the pokey

  4. people who drink and drive never get what they deserve. so u will probably get off pretty easy. if it were up to me ud get 30 years. that tree coulda been me and my two young daughters. is it really so effin hard to have a brain and just not drive drunk??? im sure u have a ton of excuses and if ur gf doesnt press charges shes a bigger loser then u.
